God allowed Jesus to suffer unimaginable pain.
Moses suffered.
Noah suffered.
Adam suffered.
Job, God's most loyal servant, suffered.
Quoting: TheDarknessComes (In Christ-ian metaphysics)God allowed the possibility of free will. Suffering is always an individual choice, to resist pain. Pain is the product of individual choice (not necessary for growth). That pain often leads to growth is called "Grace".
Why do ppl think God will excuse them from suffering during end times? God didn't rapture Job and Jesus of all ppl so what makes rapture believers so special?
Quoting: TheDarknessComes (In Christ-ian metaphysics)Christ dying is the incarnation of God taking responsibility for sin (error, corruption), even though sin is the product of human choices, not the intent of God. The promise of God in the offering of Christ on the altar of Golgatha is that all it takes is to accept Christ as Lord and Savior to be spared from eternal torment. God's justice is perfect. God's mercy is also perfect, manifested in the option to be represented before God by Christ, as Christ. It is your choice whether to take this option. However, it is taught that none can ever measure up to the righteous standard of God, and so all are in need of Christ's mediation.
Revelation 13:7
And it was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
The Antichrist makes war w/ the saints and overcomes them. So the saints are still around during end times? Wouldn't the saints surely be raptured? No! B/c the rapture is a lie and unheard of until 200 years ago.
Quoting: TheDarknessComes (In Christ-ian metaphysics)All deserve to be destroyed, because all are corrupt. God offers mercy through Christ, the perfect and final sacrifice. It is written that some are raptured, some are saved throughout the tribulation period, a few are reborn to serve a purpose in the end times. That anyone is raptured or saved at all is the scandalous mercy of God.
I doubt anyone will debate this.
Quoting: TheDarknessComes You might be correct.
