even this CHEAP lightwear body armor stops LARGE high velocity rounds. I mean if you were ONLY wearing the body armor with no cushioning I guess it would cause major trauma but just wear some cushioning underneath, you can probably shoot all day.

problem with bullets that go through armor is they go through bodies and just keep going, ricocheting, they'd go through 10 people like a knife through butter in a crowded situation

they were just getting shot to hell, over and over but they had built their own body armor suits and the bullets weren't doing ANYTHING. they were just standing there, getting shot while they blasted everything

Yep, they’re getting their stories mixed up. The El Paso guy was wearing a black v neck t shirt and khaki cargo pants. No body armor.

The escape to Mexico thing is an old option that was popularized by Western movies. In reality it is not sensible. This guy being anti-immigrant implies that he did not speak Spanish, and it would be difficult to blend in there.

It is worse than this... after 20 minutes inside the store, he set his weapon down, walked out of the Walmart, got in his car and drove two blocks before being apprehended by police.

Police say they never fired a shot at any time during the incident or arrest.

So: a lone white guy with a two week old Twitter account whose family is connected to a creepy cult posted a manifesto to (a patsy website), drove 600 miles and then shot more than 40 people with a 30 round magazine before ambling off to a cop car.

Why would you add the increased risk in an already risky situation that you might be seen as 'another shooter' by confused herds and potentially put yourself in crosshairs of the police swat teams that turn up?

Unless you had a clear guaranteed shot. But even then you could get mixed up.
