They are being invaded only to take away their freedoms and their way of life... Hong Kong already belonged to China fully! All China is achieving is bloodshed, stress, resistance, temporary or long term chaos, and probably importantly to for China, they will achieve the same level of control and law over Hong Kong as the rest of China, rather than its current freer more capitalistic system. Very sad for the people that live there.
