SoloTrashyCrowd User ID: 5703021 ![]() 08/06/2019 03:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | China Warns of Countermeasures if U.S. Puts Missiles on Its 'Doorstep' Quoting: {/Mutariel\} China threatened countermeasures on Tuesday if the United States deploys intermediate-range, ground-based missiles in Asia and warned U.S. allies of repercussions if they allow such weapons on their territory. U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper said on Saturday he was in favour of placing ground-launched, intermediate-range missiles in the region soon, possibly within months. [link to www.usnews.com (secure)] China Devalued its money again. In retaliation for trade. So China is again worth nothing even more, Heres the thing that is going to work. They devalue themselves, with no trade for value. They are taken out of the game. They are doing what they think worked in the past. Its not going to work when theres not much trade. The idea would be to make trade at cheaper value. If there is no trade then there is no value. I think India and Pakistan have a lot of people that would love to have manufacturing jobs. Enforce the Monroe Doctrine? We have a President who cannot get a cabinet confirmed. How is he going to enforce the Monroe Doctrine? This country is falling apart. That needs to be addressed, fuck the bs Monroe Doctrine. |

We just want fair and even TRADE, THAT'S ALL. THERE SHOULD BE NO TARIFFS EITHER WAY. "TRUMP WON" "I love deadlines. Well, beyond just the fair trade situation with China artificially pegging its Yuan/RMB currency over the years, then you have the fact that China built those artificial islands in key global shipping lanes within international waters of the South China Sea, promising the whole time not to militarize them and then guess what....they militarized them. Look at the maps that China claims for its borders. They currently claim territories reaching right into their neighbors' territorial waters and exclusive economic zones, completing ignoring the 200 nautical miles rule. China has ongoing border disputes with Bhutan, Brunei, India, Indonesia, Inner Mongolia, Japan, Malaysia, North Korea, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Vietnam. China's actions tell much more than their words. |

Beijing claims much of the South China Sea, though the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Brunei have overlapping claims in the waters, where the Chinese, U.S., Japanese and some Southeast Asian navies routinely operate. Neither Japan nor the U.S. have claims in the waters, but both allies have routinely stated their commitment to a “free and open Indo-Pacific.” . ADVERTISEMENT . Washington has lambasted Beijing for its moves in the South China Sea, including the construction of man-made islands — such as those in the Paracels and further south in the Spratly chain — some of which are home to military-grade airfields and advanced weaponry. ![]() |

And they are likely permanently rotating on the american coastlines. Quoting: NIMST3R There is no possible defence. No possibility of interception. But certain death of humanity as we know it. That is the game trump is playing and you can bet your ass China also has a first strike option. China is not Iraq. China can destroy you. So in this reality we can be 99% sure nothing serious will happen. After all, we have a stable genius at the helm, surrounded by peaceloving advisors. Back when I was an aerospace engineer, I worked in SDI (Strategic Defense Initiative, aka, Star Wars). Part of that was coming up with boost phase interception of missiles at sea. Either a surface ship or one of our subs can shadow any Chicom boomers near enough to launch. Upon detecting a launch of an SLBM by the sub, they can launch anti-missile interceptors. A surface ship would be optimal in this role. Most people think subs are not detectable when deep underwater. That is NOT NECESSARILY SO. Also, any boomer can be taken out pretty quickly, possibly before it can launch all of it's payloads. BTW, I do NOT advocate war with China. Prez T is using economic pressure to pursue a level field in trade. We don't need intermediate range missiles in Asia. We have a secure second strike capability with current assets. The advantage of IRBMs is very fast time on target and accuracy measure (perhaps) of less than one meter. At that level, you can drop a warhead down an air shaft into an underground bunker. The most likely flash point for war would be an attempted invasion of Taiwan. Taiwan should consider a counter threat of asymmetrical warfare such as smart sea mines cutting off all sea access by China. |

I'm curious Depending on the type of guidance system, a IRBM (Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile) has greater accuracy. I am talking accuracy sufficient to put a nuke down an air shaft at a deep bunker. I think IRBMs are also cheaper to produce and maintain than SLBMs. |
