Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76462136 cholesterol from food has negligible impact on overall blood cholesterol levels
the so called "bad cholesterol" LDL is primarily generated as a stress response
fight or flight
Adrenaline / Epinephrine, and LDL go hand in hand
however, when fight or flight doesn't happen
the Adrenaline / Epinephrine dissipates, however the LDL is left floating around in the blood waiting to be used up as quick energy
an Adrenaline / Epinephrine, and LDL dump must be burned off in high intensity physical activity
however, even a brisk walk after being stressed is helpful to lower LDL levels
the issue is "modern" industrialized stress which is repetitive and has no outlet in between
thus you can have high cholesterol even with supposedly "eating right"
