I think scientists are working on ways to make a man-made field/shield for our planet. That's probably what experiments like Haarp are really about. When the magnetic field goes down, we want our own backup system in place so we all don't get nuked by the sun. Makes sense.
Quoting: Skip. 65507635 what the hell do you think CERN and all the other 100 of thousands of particle colliders around the world are intended for? They will band together to create an artificial magnetic field when ours goes down. the electro magnets at CERN are said to be 100,000 times more powerful that the eaths shield....according to CERN. why would they mention that at all?
