Hey everyone!

I'm at a loss for words. I thought about the herd mentality due to Trump Supporters that we all see on a daily basis and wondered what my herd would look like.

It's weird that people who have been here for a decade or more would think of aligning themselves with either major party as a political ideology given our allegedly Libertarian roots and the constant positing that both serve the same function with the same masters yet here we are with diehard Trump supporters falling for the Conservative political ideology...

I used to think everyone saw things the way I did due to a shared source of information and reasoning capacity. I remember a American veteran assumed I had served when I hadn't, but he mentioned battlespace and I thought it was obvious what he meant because battlespace simply seemed to be the physical or virtual field of conflict.

In a way political ideologies are just another "battlespace", in which competing ideologies focus on convincing the many they support the morally correct force in the conflict. Only instead of a standard nation or state which is in conflict the "battlespace" is in the minds of the voters to push towards achieving political power.

It seems odd to have GLPers support either the Republicans or Democrats because both sides are simply vying for the same objective albeit with different stated goals to differentiate themselves.

I always thought every other GLPer saw this and realized the control mechanisms and clever psychology used to subvert the will of the people to form "manufactured consent" via the various forms of media.

It's no secret that I like to watch all forms of media and then postulate on the implications of stances taken by both sides of the political aisle, but it's become obvious a lot of people here are listening and giving credence to people who do not offer informed opinions based on evidence like the so called "secret queen of Canada".

For the longest time I thought that the average GLPer was built from the same stuff I was, but way too many people here are way too susceptible to outlandish claims based on a seeming inability to think about the ramifications of their actions.

I'm left wondering what the heck happened?

What does everyone else think?

I think you really put your heart in that post!

I can't speak for anyone else, but I've never loved any politician.
