He called it a purple bear. There are no purple animals that I can call up in my memory besides maybe in Australia..and I think it is a marmot. Maybe it was a djinn. They are fabled to be blue. Cool thread either way. Fun to consider. Quoting: Seer777 I wasn't really expecting to find anything about a purple, paranormal creature but to my surprise: "Batsquatch First sighted flying above woods near Mount St. Helens in 1980, the horrid-looking Batsquatch has purple skin, piercing red eyes, an ape-like head and wings. Ugly. Cryptozoologists have speculated that it’s a flying primate. Think of it as Bigfoot’s airborne cousin." Although they are in the Pacific NW and have bat-like wings, making it less of an option. I've lived in the PNW all my life and while camping as a kid or as a passenger in a car, I'm always peering between the trees to see if I can catch a glimpse. None yet. But I'll keep trying. I loved this movie. [ link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Quoting: Seer777 It's been years but I've got this on my list to watch... Quoting: Tars Tarkas, Jr. I watched it again, just a couple years back. It is still an excellent movie. Much like Close Encounters. John Lithgow is a genius actor. Recommend Raising Cain if you haven't seen it. They just don't make movies like they use to. Movie like those and Unsolved Mysteries..are what eventually brought me here. GLPer through and through.
