When the monarch is terminally ill, it’s common for the Queen’s or King’s doctors to give them a hotshot of Morphine and Cocaine sufficient to put them to sleep and stop their heart. Royalty doesn’t wait for death, but they summon it when they’re ready to go. This is how King George ended his life. And will probably be how the Queen will end her life and reign as well.

She (The Queen) could have gone to church with Andres last Sunday and been propped up with drugs/steriods/etc. Properly made up and dressed, she could manage to look good (if you don’t look too close) for a couple of hours, then back to her limo, and back home and into bed so the IV’s can be reconnected to keep her hydrated, etc. The royals are expert at faking health and happiness when they’re anything but healthy or happy.

The actual occasion of a royal death is often announced well after the fact. A queen or king can die on Tuesday and the death is not announced to the people until Saturday or Sunday the following week. The palace has a morgue type fridge for the purpose of keeping them fresh and full embalming equipment on site, as well. So die and hold would not be beyond the ability of the Palace needing only to summon some outside morticians to complete the embalming and put the body in the fridge for a few days.
