BREAKING: 1 CHP Officer dead/2 wounded Update: Suspect possible Gang ties, SWAT deployed at Hospital

During the press conference, the Brass acknowledged that reporters were hearing a lot of information about the suspect, but that they were not willing to confirm any of that info at this time.

Makes me think that gang connection is exactly what the reporters are hearing from, either other officers or the public.

Some tweeter, recorded video of the TV news, showing the SWAT guys deployed at Hospital, including Snipers deployed on roof and the reporter confirmed that they are hearing reports of the suspects gang ties

No. The cop probably never saw the gun and was having the truck towed for another reason. The perp, who was having problems with his wife and was depressed, most like flipped out at ANOTHER problem (vehicle impound) which would lead to ANOTHER one - illegal weapon in truck.

Suspect (NOW dead) was a 40 something white male hillbilly with a long record of violence, including domestic violence. NO 'gang' ties evident.
