Israel mulls permission for Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib visit

Israel is still mulling whether to deny entry to two United States congressional representatives this weekend due to their support for a pro-Palestinian rights campaign and reported pressure from President Donald Trump.

US representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, who are outspoken critics of both Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians and of the US President, have planned a five-day visit to the occupied West Bank and east Jerusalem, starting on Sunday.
