Why can't bitcoin-tards accept one very simple point? No matter how good bitcoin may be, cut off the BTC Exchanges and BTC dies!

Yes there will be a few Anarchist traders in bitcoin, illegal money launderers and some bitcoin fanatics, but bitcoin will never be very popular with the general public.

Why? Because it is getting difficult for people to feel safe converting their fiat currencies into and out of bitcoins through online BTC Exchanges.

Governments around the world understand that if they can control the changes, they can effectively kill bitcoin.

And that is what is happening today.

Almost every single bank credit card has now been blocked from using BTC Exchange sites. No Paypal, no longer bank transfers to most banks and government blacklisting for using exchanges is growing.

Most people simply don't feel safe using exchanges(even Coinbase) to buy and sell bitcoins. Fact!

There are very few ways to cheaply and safely convert bitcoins into fiat money.

So yeah, bitcoin will survive, much like the Dark Web has survived. But, very few people will use it.

EXCEPT FOR CORPORATE AND GOVERNMENT SHADOW TRANSACTIONS.

But, those are very quick and bitcoins are only held for a few minutes at most.

Well, they better acct fast.

If they wait much longer, it will be the inverse: if they cut off btc exchanges, fiat dies.

If a normal person can't feel safe buying bitcoins online, how will bitcoin survive?

Even if they do own bitcoins and don't feel safe that they will be able to sell them, no one will buy them.

Listen, bitcoin is NOT a political statement, a currency or a form of money transfer if people don't feel safe doing it!

"Hmm, I seem to have unplugged the server, and I have NO backup. I guess you no longer have fiddy Shitcoins... so solly!"

lolatu

Paper money has no more actual worth, but when the lights go out people will still take a fiver for a coffee. Try doing that with air - which is exactly what Shitcoin is. An idea which only has value if you believe it does. More of this new kids "manifesting" crap... I want it to be worth something so it is.

Hell, you'd be better off with a rat on a string.

How can you be so stupid?

YOUR GOVERNMENT DOES NOT WANT BITCOIN TO SURVIVE!

Banks are told NOT to support it!

Stores are told NOT to take it.

BTC Exchanges are not controlled against fraud.

People can't collect wages in BTC.

Forget about how great you believe bitcoin to be! Most people cannot support a currency unless their government supports.

Just a fact! Not a political statement!

Decentralized exchanges are ways to trade one crypto for another without any regulation. They have the same ability to avoid regulators that the coins themselves do.

However, you cannot buy-in fiat for crypto on decentralized exchanges.

On the other hand, when all fiat currencies really start to hyper-inflate in the near future, there will be a massive buy-in on crypto since crypto is a real store of value tied to a known "oracle" which at this point in time is the price of electricity.

Different "oracles" are being tested, but right now the average price of electricity is the one exclusively used.

An oracle is a way for the various crypto algos to tie themselves to real world values.

So, again:

Global Financial Depression will bring huge pressure to move assets to something denominated in non-fiats. People will be wise to hold on to land or other physical assets (a house is not a physical asset, fyi), but won't want to because of lack of liquidity. Fiats will go up in flames and people will abandon them as fast as they can. Very little trading will go through exchanges, rather it will happen on the street, phone to phone.

I am pretty sure the big banks will offer a 5:1 trade in to their own crypto (probably the retarded coin, Ripple)... that might be a signal? Not sure... but when Ripple hits $5.00 there will be a general offer to all bank accounts to transfer all one's assets in USD to Ripple if one wants. Or it might be forced. Ripple won't really be worth $5, it'll be worth $1-ish, but in the hyper-inflation, people will not know what is happening when Ripple suddenly burns a huge number of coins and the Ripple value rockets arbitrarily to $5, then never appreciates as the rest of the crypto world follows the expected logarithmic curve, mercilessly adjusted for inflation.

Anyway... just put 10% of your paycheck or savings in to some crypto. Bitcoin Cash is good, jost not Ripple. Even a tethered coin is fine.

If possible, find a crypto meetup and buy direct from holders.
