I knew at least 2 dozen WW2 vets-many of whom were in the deepest shit during the war. One of my uncles had his ship sunk by the Japs-was missing at sea for so long he was reported as KIA. One really great man I knew belonged to an organization that the only criteria for membership was to have sent the last message from a sinking ship. D day fellows--two of them. Bomber pilot that did his missions over Germany before 1944--that means he lived with a zero possibility of surviving (or not becoming a POW) for at least 6 months.

These men were rock solid. That is not to say they never had some bad memory creep into mind--it is not a pleasant thing to see a buddy blown to bits. However, they clearly were not on some pussyfying mind-altering drugs. They dealt with it like men. If things were tough to deal with tey could talk to another vet--not going to talk to some worthless, pill-pushing shrink.

Today, people are shoved into seeing the pill pushers. Do you think it is normal for the number of military suicides during the last 15 years? It is not normal--it IS tied directly to legally mandated and pushed mind-altering drugs.

BTW, I had a sister in law that blew her brains out. She was an RN. She had a wonderful home, family, very good looking and enough money--between her and hubby well over 300 hundred grand a year. Everything to live for, but some Doctor convinced her she was depressed and needed some nice pills to help her out. Yea, those helped alright.

I’ve been placed on SSRIs a few times in my life. Every time I went from depressed to extremely depressed and would start having serious suicidal and homicidal ideation, they made me bonkers. It’s some bad stuff.
