my phone has a magnetometer, if you tilt it up it gores from 50uT to 110uT as it the magnetic field lines enter / exit earth, these machines are sensitive and any anomaly could be caused by any number of things.

Okay, I get what you're saying now! Thanks...Honestly, the only application in my mind with "phased array" is HAARP, and I wasn't getting what you were saying.

So, in my lowly opinion, I think magnetometers should be stationed about every 3 to 400 miles to get any actual idea about how quickly poles are moving.
