I think she's just in shock. I'm sure insurance fraud, murder, ect will be investigated. I doubt that foul play was involved, but who knows...

Oh, yeah. Smiling wife like that, just so fucking happy to be on tv even if its because her husband is missing? He's a dead man. Never let your wife (or husband) take out life insurance policy on you.

His loving wife keeps referring to her husband in past tense.
She says repeatedly... “he was” .
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76372353

She looks damn nice to me... in the present sense.

And she was talking about his PAST experience.... hence “was”.

'Not to be defending her or attacking any other poster, but I exhibit "atypical response" in times of great stress or injury.

When my hand was injured requiring an almost eight hour operation to save it from amputation I could not stop laughing.

When I was seriously injured by another driver totalling the vehicle I was driving I refused to stay in the hospital (and the idiots let me leave) despite numerous broken bones.

Some of us do not react in a fashion anyone else would expect when injured, stressed, or experiencing a personal tragedy.

It's just how we are, I consider it a self-preservation response that others are not equipped to handle.

Don't feel bad. I laughed at my grandmothers funeral. I don't know why. Never knew her.

I agree. I looked at her social media pages. They looked very happy together.

It's just a major stretch for the possiblity of her planning on something happening to those two men on a fishing trip.

People who are deeply religious are always positive. They have so much faith. I looked at her Facebook page...very religious. Baptist. I wish I could be like that where they handle tragedies very well.
 Quoting: nutmeg

Truth I am Baptist just went to a church members funeral who died suddenly in his sleep ironically he was a fisherman and overall the service was more a celebration than sadness. If the men died and they were saved they are in eternity.

That racist douche needs a slap of reality.

They conveniently forget that 98% of search and rescue people and volunteers are white.

We never see citizens in other countries dedicate their lives to saving their fellow brethren or defending human rights for all

And we never see blacks adopt children, start charities, donate, save animals, start rescue shelters, etc, etc etc....

Wonder if she was having an affair with the other guy and he's really not dead.

She should have planned better to be sad in public. heh.

Those sunglasses have to go. For her not to be more concerned is just a little suspicious, considering the probabilities of them being found alive dwindles each hour that goes by.

Oh, that explains a lot. She's a First Coast News anchor!

I just posted on another thread because I didn't see this one, that another news channel has talked about this story non-stop for almost an hour like there is no other news.

It makes zero sense that a Virginia fireman is meeting a Jacsonville fireman in a tiny boat and they are going fishing off Port Canaveral.
You take a big boat offshore and there is PLENTY of water right off Jacksonville, you don't actually have to put in 200 miles south of there.

There are firemen from all over from Savannah to Miami are raising money and searching. Here's a link to my other post about how hinky this seems. I think it's a covert drill.

They are building it up on the local Jax news stations like they are going to be found and they have been missing since Friday.

They haven't even found a boat. They act as if they aren't looking by air so much as searching by boats and sending all these small craft out to look. I was suspicious about the story after listening this morning and bits here and there but when I saw that the wife of handsome fireman #1 is married to First Coast News anchor Heather Crawford, I got a serious case of the eyeroll.

Handsome Fireman #2 is from Virginia and hey decided to go fishing off the coast of Cape Canaveral in a teeny little 24ft fishing boat and been missing since Friday.

It's just a little too suspect for me if you listened to local news reporting. It seems like "fake news". Like the last time 10 years ago when they said 3 guys found after 3 days in the water clinging to an ice chest and how swollen shut their eyes and lips were and how sunburnt. Then they show you them walking off the rescue boat and they don't look like that, at all. They look like they spent an afternoon fishing.

Oops. That isn't Heather Crawford. Sorry, I needed another spot of tea this morning. She is Stephanie McCluney. I looked at it and thought that looked like the News Woman wearing big sunglasses. Sorry for the error.

I still maintain that there is something "fishy" about the story, though.

I am also listening locally and it strikes an odd chord with me, too.

I have news4jax in the background. They can't stop talking about it. The weather even is built around how the weather is for these guys and how big the chop is in the Gulf Stream where these guys are presumed to be!

We'll see what do you think is going on?
