I used to hate brats and sauerkraut but now I love it.

Periwinkles are small sea snail. Boil them in equal parts water (or chicken stock) and beer. Pull the buggers out of the shell with a pin, dip in butter and enjoy. N

As long as the brats aren't left sitting in the sauerkraut for hours I'm on board... I hate it when people leave the brats in the kraut and it all ends up tasting the same and gets mushy.

i grew up in the hills of North Georgia. Sthandard fare there in the 50's - 60's.
