Our system is broken because the idiots we elect have forgotten how it's supposed to work. The voters supposedly elect an MP to represent their interests in Ottawa, but none of them do, because if they go against the leader and their party they get sent to the back bench and denied the candidacy next election. They forgot that the campaign is like a job interview, and we the voters are their bosses. We decide which scumbag gets to go to Ottawa and we pay their wages. They never do the job they are hired to do. Doesn't matter which party. They promise shit until they are elected, then they ignore our interests and toe the party line. They don't give a shit about us unless it's election time. When are we going to demand they serve us, defend our communities, provinces and our country? When are we going to demand they put Canadians first? Until we wake up and DO something about it, we deserve what we get. The best we can hope for is minority government where both government and opposition would fall without the support some good independents that really represent their electorate. I just hope Canadians wake up stop falling for the same game. The parties are constructs to make us think we have a choice and a voice.
