Seriously, IF there is a major event that happens, it happens and no matter what you or I do, it's not going to change anything. Someone asked Rod Serling about the bunker episode of the Twlight Zone, asked him if he had a bunker. He was all like "Why in the hell would I want to survive a nuclear war?." Yeah, someone has to rebuild humanity (maybe) if a worldwide disaster happens and you'd probably like to set that up with you as king. But keep in mind, violence, disease, cannibals, predators, no food, no fuel, no clean water. It's not like a television show. The entire fossil and sedimentary record was laid down at once in a worldwide cataclysm which occurred approximately 2241BC: the Deluge. Formations like the Grand Canyon were not formed over millions of years but rather during the rapid receding waters of the Flood. Most of the water during the Deluge came from below the Earth, not above. |

The pole flips and for a while, the earth is scorched, no need for a nova. When the sun does go you'll know dam well. It will swell out to just beyond Mars, burning up all the inner planets, into dust again. Those who believe in micronova, haven't learned how RARE it is, and HOW it happens. There MUST be a companion star for a star to micronova, and that star has to have already went nova and collapsed, then pull matter from the companion star to do small pops... Our star, doesn't have a companion star. So how can it micronova? It can't, that's why it never has, never will. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77946450 The vast majority of the world's population will die horrible deaths in the disaster, and most GLP-users will of course be in the death toll. It's not even remotely funny. Maybe you don't understand the gravity of the events unfolding now. The world's elite even ridicule us by implementing some of it in movies, like The Day After Tomorrow, Knowing, 2012, etc. Meanwhile they have secured themselves with bunkers around the world. It's not a laughing-matter. You are so very correct, sir/ma'am, it is a dire emergency. What pisses me off to no fuckin' end is that we have bread-n-circus shoved down our throats 24/7 just to distract the masses from the inevitable. It's not a matter of 'if' but absolutely a matter of 'when.' We, as a species and not divided/splintered by whatever construct, should be preparing for this upcoming cycle to ensure that the most viable of us are saved to continue our existence. NOT the inbred, entitled, arrogant elites but people who can start again. Hopefully not have as hard a time as the previous reset button pushes. And thought struggles against the results, trying to avoid those unpleasant results while keeping on with that way of thinking. Anonymous Coward User ID: 70732847 United States 08/23/2019 08:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have one problem with the "Ice Age" mantra. The large mega-fauna, like the mammoths, that are found thawing out of the permafrost in northern Siberia. Ok, here is the problem with that. If those large animals live in that area during the last "Ice Age", what on Earth are they doing with temperate grass in their mouths and stomach? According to the mantra, these huge animals, in vast numbers and large herds, lived in Siberia when the climate was much much colder than today? Grazed on temperate grasses, which do not grow there today under current climatic conditions. I'm not buying it. Ice age conditions of the Northern Hemisphere would be comparable to parts of Antarctica today. Only creatures that can bear that climate are a few coastal dwelling animals like seals and penguins. Mammoths in the North of Siberia are hard forensic evidence. Not of an ice age, but of a much milder climate overall. |

Some tales made it into Middle-Eastern scriptures, of course somewhat changed after so long time. IMO it is a must read, folks. Thru' a bit o' luck and divine intervention, I bought a hard back copy in thrift store for $1 this spring. It has been out of print since late '70s but Vogt made a PDF of it for sale, I think for about $12. Best book I've read that marries hard science (from 70s) to ancient cultures myths/legends. Genesis and Revelation are the best books in the Bible, BUT one needs to properly vet what's being said against modern science. For instance AC said 'most of the water during the deluge came from below the Earth'. This is in reference to the 'fountains of the deep', deep being the optimal word, which relates astronomical not geological. There is no evidence for a global flood, but there is evidence that many places were totally swamped by huge tsunami's. |
