It is not "Trump's recession". It has been every president's recession that has been building for 50 years or more. The debt keeps doubling and will speed up because there is no other way around it.

They won't cut defense, they will not shut down useless Federal agencies. They will not remove lazy parasites from the Welfare rolls. They will not make big corporations pay taxes. To finance/service the debt and all the corruption and crime they have to double the debt every 4 years.

Trump knew shortly after becoming president that the U.S. had already passed the point of no return and headed to the same faith of the USSR. Total bankruptcy.

Exactly. In 2008 it was a housing sub-prime loan crash. This time everything is in a bubble.

The housing prices are in a bubble on top of more sub prime loans than in 2008.

Car loans in a bubble

Credit card debt is in a bubble

Student loans in a bubble

Corporation debt in a bubble

The price of stocks on Wall Street has been artificially pumped up and way overpriced.

Government pensions underfunded and basically bankrupted.

Salon is in the business to smear any thought that is not communist. I get that. But they are onto something here. It won't be his depression though - had nothing to do with him other than his placement in the presidency. In fact, he probably delayed it a couple of years with his twitter account. It is coming though and it will not be pretty.

The numbers will start to not make sense and people holding USDs will find themselves losing money. If they are holding USD debt, it will be even worse.

The mass exodus will occur from USD and anything US. Perhaps that was the entire reason for Trump and his twatter account. To make it look like it was just a solitary guy's rants on twitter that caused this. Nossir, this has been planned out for at least a couple of decades before 2008 and by groups of people magnitudes smarter than Trump.
