Let's dissect the idea of 'virtue signaling': basically any exhibition of kindness, any symptomology of having anything like a human heart - be it charity, expression of love or momentary kindness toward anyone, whether in physical or written form, is only doing so for the benefit of some judgmental imaginary audience. Because people who use the term are free from sincerity, it must stand to reason that everyone they encounter, everyone they feel justified in passing judgment of, are just as insincere and pretentious in their behavior as the observer.
