This looks like an oasis. Stupid people will forget about it and rebuild on the same spots and this probably happens every few years.

Building next to a big seismic fault, to an active volcano, to a known flooding area, tornado corridor etc i just think it doesnt worth the stress everytime there is a warning for your area. Of course there is no "safe" place but at least you can avoid the most dangerous ones.
