If we had Self-Aware Artificial Intelligence, Why would it be hidden to the masses? Anyone who claims of a superior AI assumes non-disclosure.

As much as I wish there was an advanced AI, Superintelligence working with us humans, I do not think we are there yet. Yes it is wishful thinking, but why would it be hidden from plain sight? Such a thing - if it existed or were developed recently - would be front page news, It would be a huge story, bigger than any political nonsense that is regurgitated here.

So tell me - Why do so many GLPers feel there is an advanced AI out there, dictating our progress or assisting in our evolution, for or against us...

I guess because its possible? :) Nevertheless, I guess, I just wish I had more proof ;) I want to believe.

I guess if it were developed by Secret Space Program humans, yeah it would be off-limits to us regulars...

I wish we had even a general artificial intelligence to toss ideas back and fourth with, to develop and grow.

Anyone have anything to add? It seems to be alot of people believe in this secret AI.
