The person, who is from Western Sweden, applied for a personal vehicle sign for his American SUV.

In his application he stated that he wanted the sign combination "TRUMP" on his registration plate, but thus got no.

This is because that combination can be considered offensive, according to the Swedish Transport Agency.

- Personal registration plates must not be offensive or inconvenient. Therefore, signs that are deemed inappropriate are rejected, for example if they contain political messages or offensive words, says communicator Sofie Andersson at the Swedish Transport Agency, to SVT News.

Substances that may be considered offensive are alcohol, drugs, sex, profanity, religion, politics, illness and crime.
