The Kingdom of God - For Me - Transcends Time-Space-Matter-Energy.

In the 3 Dimensional physical realm that "We" are a part-of, there are circumstances of physical properties that must be addressed.

Sodom & Gomorrah may have been more than "cities" in the Old Testament.

They could have been other places, or planets as well?

History repeats itself in some sort of cyclical pattern.

I'm not saying Sodom & Gomorrah were NOT cities, because there is archaeological evidence of locations that WERE bombarded with fire and brimstone?

There are places on Earth where there is evidence of Pre-History Nuclear Warfare.

For example - people have a tendency to name their new cities after their home-town. New-York was named after York in England.

Perhaps Sodom & Gomorrah were named after some other existing home-town, somewhere else?

Jerusalem, may have been named Jeru-Salem? Yuru-Salem, New Salem? Others say it is named -
