Hurricanes have those trademark super bright lightning strikes that are 10 times as strong as 97% of the lightning typically seen. It's that extra energy that is needed to get things swirling. This is why I'm predicting it's very likely to become another Cat 5, as will just about every hurricane henceforth be a Cat 5. Dorian was a wake up call as was Michael. |

What that idiot didn't realize is that by changing the pattern of the flow of the tides, he did more to interfere with the storm heading that direction. |

Many of them fizzle or track out to sea. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77192746 I agree. It doesn't look like it'll do much. Resonance makes up for whatever small range you might be believing in. Also the range is far, far beyond what the makers realize at least when it comes to cloud formations. For example, I moved from Panama City to Chipley which is 50 miles north. Starting about two months ago, the skies of Panama city were filled daily with countless cumulonimbus clouds. Driving back and forth it turns out he clouds travel nonstop to Chipley and far beyond. On the open sea, those clouds can travel thousands of miles. |
