My morning coffee with 700 folks online and the board is frozen, tired and ready to go to bed, c'mon euros, theres not so few of us. I found this gem: Greek island Tilos is showing the world how to go 100% renewable [ link to inhabitat.com (secure)] The Greek island of Tilos is nearing 100 percent energy independence using only renewable sources with the help of EU funding. The investment, which has helped the island establish the TILOS (Technology Innovation for the Local Scale, Optimum Integration of Battery Energy Storage) Project, will make the Greek landmass the first island in the Mediterranean to achieve energy independence using only renewable energy.We could easily do that here in the Southwest as well. Here in Colorado, E-85 is popular. The are lots of wind turbines and solar farms. Alot of the homes here have solar panels on the roofs as well. I was shocked how many wind turbines there is on Bulgarian coast. Miles and miles of them heading towards the sea. Its nice, twenty years ago they could only be spotted in Germany.
