State Sen. Kerry Roberts made the remarks while speaking on his conservative talk radio show last week. He addressed his problems with the higher education system while discussing a recent legislative hearing focused on abortion legislation. “If there's one thing that we can do to save America today, it's to get rid of our institutions of higher education right now and cut the liberal breeding ground off," he said, before questioning why public colleges were funded by tax dollars. We all hear about greedy corporations, but silent on greedy campuses. We hear about corporate welfare, but tons of money goes to campus welfare. Professors only work 2/3 of the year but make a lot of money. Higher ed is all about the money.

I agree that home schooling should be encouraged, but not everybody seems to go for that. What about religious schools, also? Do away with them also? I say we do a concerted effort to turn universities and schools back into non-partisan places. Allow ALL points of views to be heard. Yes, even communistic ones. But balace them with capitalistic ones.
