Early millennials typed papers on typewriters, used landlines, drove in cars with no seatbelts, wore no bicycle helmets, went outside and got lost, unsupervised, after school was over and didn't come home until dark, owned, bought, and played records, might have owned a pager in high school... A kid born in 1996 has probably never seen a typewriter, landline, car without seatbelts, record player, or pager and most likely spent every day on the Xbox or their cellphone after school never playing outside. Frankly, these childhoods just aren't comparable in any legitimate way. |
