What he is trying to do is to split Likud from its allies and combine it with Blue and White, along with his Yisrael party to form a unity gov, without Netanyahu. That is what Lieberman wants.
But, Netanyahu is refusing this option and convincing his allies to do the same. So that is what the stalemate is.
Neither Gantz nor Netanyahu have enough without Lieberman to have a majority.
Lieberman has stated that he will not accept Arabs in his coalition. My suggestion would be to attempt a coalition with
Kahol (Blue and White) 32-33. Yisrael B - 9 Labor -6 Dem Union - 5
- That equals 52-53. Need 61.
With the Joint List, that is automatically a coalition, but Lieberman will not go for it.
Are all of the religious parties off limits? Can any be tempted to join the other coalition or is Lieberman also against this?
Seems Lieberman is going to have to compromise with Arabs or one minority right group if Netanyahu refuses to step down. Still, it can be done.Blessed are the Peacemakers.

Those along with Labor and DU would be enough I think. Can they all work together? This would still get rid of Bibi and probably send him to prison. Blessed are the Peacemakers.
