Don't Tread on Me........BUMP!

I'm making a pot of broccoli-white cheddar cheese soup (putting some in the freezer), and then I'm thinking about making a Bran, Applesauce and Cranberry bread....or maybe muffins. If not today, the tomorrow morning.


I can't wait for Autumn and Thanksgiving and Halloween. This is my favorite time of the year, when the coolness arrives.


Heh, I need to go looking for some new Halloweenie smilies. I like the ghost ones....

Good thing, because I have super-long run tomorrow, apx. 650 miles.....


I've enjoyed being creative in the kitchen today. I needed to do this. It's always a quiet time for me after a Wave pulls through and a shift happens....it's such a regular thing for me, harhar, I've named this time.

I call it 'Falling off the backside of a Wave'....the thrill is gone, but I'm left with a satisfying sense of....quiet. And some peace. Like sitting on the calm ocean on a surfboard....heh, waiting for the next Wave.

I want to know how that goose is doing.....

It tastes unlike anything I have had before!!!

It is still tough, but as the Mrs, is not returned from the river it's not a problem, I'll add the 'taters when she gets home.

I think it will turn out one of my best meals yet.

If you have another goose to cook, think about brining it!.....

I'll try a different recipe for each.

The Mrs. says it is delicious and very tender.

Every time you raise the bar, it gets more difficult to get over it yourself.

This Littlepixie just started her day with this magnificent rendition of Amazing Grace after reading mouth watering posts about cooked goose.

It is best listened to with headphones on.

It really is fabulous....something to be savored and appreciated.

Hoookay, something very strange just happened to me about a half-hour ago....

I was driving to the office, and right out of nowhere this little urp-cough happened and a puff of smoke came out of my f'n mouth....it tasted like a cross between mango vape juice and clove cigs, neither of which I've smoked in numerous years. In fact, I hadn't smoked but a couple of drags off a cig today. My throat and upper chest very mildly burned for about 10 minutes after.


Thank gawd I'd had a kind of similar experience many years ago after I quit cocaine. I had nightmares for six years after quitting wherein I'd be standing in front of a huge mirror with a pile of cocaine on it. I never used in all of those dreams, and there were so very many. I would wake up in a sweat from those dreams.

Then one night in a abnormal psyche class - of all places - my classmates were talking about Dahmer being killed in jail and about him being a cannibal - cannibalism is not my most favorite topic - and I gently tapped my head on my books on my desk quietly saying "No, no, no"....and when I lifted my head there was a little pile of powder on them. I touched it with my fingers, and they went numb. I freaked right the fuck out, and walked out of the class. I was freaked out for days afterwards. Heh, I never had another cocaine dream after that, though.


Thank my lucky stars I'd had that experience, otherwise I'd be freaking right the hell out right now, too....and actually, I kinda am.

I am trying to quit smoking, and am very close to putting them down.....jeebus fracking crust, if these weird things would stop happening, it sure would make it easier.

I have signed the copy of "Policing the Paranormal" [link to www.amazon.com (secure)] out from a publically restricted State Library in Virginia and spoken with some of the people quoted in it this week.

I plan to read it this weekend.

I did. I must say I have seen that before. Some things unusual are happening recently. That is rather horrifying when it happens.

If you've recently quit smoking or are cutting back the alveoli that have been damaged, covered or closed off are beginning to heal, and will release trapped material! The lower lung can hand on to a surprising amount of material.

It means you're healing!

But the strange mango/cloves taste?.....I mean, I can't even. I don't even know what to think.

I'm really hoping this is a sign of healing like you say, so much.

Talking of odd/strange things going on.

About a week ago I had a shoe that I hardly ever wear turn up in the middle of the dinning area floor. I shook my head and thought that's weird as I know I've not worn those shoes for ages.

Then a few days later one of my slippers seemed to vanish, I couldn't find it anywhere. Then a few days later it was found up inside one of my skirts.

Those two odd things have me smudging my place more than usual.
