I Found my Love in Portofino - Dalida

Love the songs, take your'e Italian then, same here live in England. These are old songs, how old are you?

Dalida was Egyptian but from a Calabrian-Jewish family. She sang in Arabic, Hebrew, Italian, French & Spanish. Her name is Hebrew, Dalida, the Hebrew word for "Delight."

She was a very talented, beautiful polyglot singer whose life took a tragic turn toward the end. I am a big fan since the 1960's when my beloved grandmother brought a recording of Dalida's back from europe. I watched a biographical film about her recently, available online.
