I don't know if that was off the top of you head or if you looked them up but not bad. It's amazing how many everyday christians I meet that cant name 10 of Jesus teachings. I know that knowing alone isnt enough but knowing is the first part of doing. And the churches are not teaching the very things Jesus told us we must do. He forgets the most important ones, as most people do. Youre just annoyed i know your roman rip-off Where does Jesus say that the 10 Commandments have been abolished / superseded, OR that there are "other commandments" that need to be followed? He goes out of His way to ask others / "point them out" at various points of the Gospels. First....here's a summary the 10 Commandments......taken from Exodus 20 I am the LORD thy God, no other gods before me No graven images or likenesses Not take the LORD's name in vain Remember the sabbath day Honour thy father and thy mother Thou shalt not kill Thou shalt not commit adultery Thou shalt not steal Thou shalt not bear false witness Thou shalt not covet Then this in Deuteronomy 6...which was mentioned in the Gospels by Jesus in Matthew 22... Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. Notice that if you LOVE God as stated Deu 6:5 and Mat 22:37, this ONE statement is basically a "blanket" of the First 4 Commandments of Exodus 20. Now look at what Jesus said following the above. Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. This SINGLE statement, IF followed, covers the final 6 Commandments quite nicely! Now go to Phoenix JOurnal #27 and master the rest given that were on a total of 4 tablets.. well more than 10... 2 tablets were lost. The book has excellent discussion of what mean |

Proof? 2 verses - Both reference the "End Times". Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Matthew 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: All of the Apostles continued to observe the Sabbath. True, Jesus said that, but then he was sent to Israel, not the Gentiles and the Apostles were Hebrews, so yes the observed the Sabbath. The Apostles gave the Gentiles, release from the Law of Moses (10 commandments), for the greater law, the law of Love,(Jesus). Because they were never bound by Mosaic Law anyway, only Noahide Laws. |

Quoting: Alka-Seltzer Jesus' ministry was for Israel. Not saying His words do not apply to us, but it is a common mistake to ignore Paul. Paul was chosen by Jesus, to deliver to us our gospel of salvation. How many Christians know the gospel, the most important thing anyone can know? 20%? Paul taught the SAME as the other Apostles.
