Unlike previous Joke iterations, his background was never really included, only his actions.

In THIS FILM, Arthur, goes from a mentally ill fairly nice guy, who is taking care of his sick and dying mother, completely shunned and abused by society, into a sick psychopathic maniac.

There's a slow progression that makes sense in the minds of people who've ALSO experienced such things, that makes the film dangerous and provocative.

This is why our Government is scared of the film, they may even stop its release.

The Director, who is known mainly for comedy roles, had to allow the actors to do "Method Acting" because he himself wasn't capable or articulating such things thematically, and this makes it even more dangerous, because Joaquin is very good at Method Acting.

Chaos is coming, but nothing that can't be contained, unless that isolated mentally ill triggered individual is a nuclear physicist that decides to cause a power planet meltdown, or a grid failure, a series of explosions, and chemical gas attacks, along with close quarters executions of the the most deranged kind.

It's going to be a dangerous movie, no question.

However, is the movie really to blame if it triggers these types, or is this society to blame for stomping on people who truly needed help? That's up to you to decide.

People say it's "Liberals Incels" who are at risk at being triggered, but really, it's people on both sides of the political spectrum who've experienced what the film shows.
