Quoting: Neil WeakLegs 77675510 Fair enough, but then he says "There are many places to go beyond belief." How does he know that these places exist and that they are beyond the belief of the audience? It's one thing to believe something, it's another to investigate it and find the truth. (Note: The quote I provided above contains an extra word. It should be "one of truth's" without the word "the" before truth.) He was not talking about general investigation. Armstrong was very specific. "There are great ideas undiscovered, breakthroughs available to those who can remove one of truth's protective layers. There are many places to go beyond belief." He was saying that there are (not might be) many places to go and the breakthrough is available to those who can remove one (that is one specific) protective layer. That's not how I read it. I read it as a message to school kids (which it was) about how you can make breakthrough discoveries if you remove one of truth's protective layers, in other words, find hidden truth that wasn't known before. That's what science does. I would agree with you if he said something like, "We must remove layers of ignorance, superstition, and misunderstanding to arrive at the truth". But, he specifically said that the layers were "protecting" the truth. To "protect" something is not a passive act. The truth was not just unnoticed; it was being "protected", and by removing one specific layer of protection, a "breakthrough" would occur and the result would be "many places to go". |

If its truly radioactive, aluminum has a two minute half life, thus very little damage from that angle. |

SpaceX is a private company and they are funding this rocket's development entirely themselves. Just wanted to make that clear. Also, they seem to be doing it far cheaper and making more progress than the government's SLS rocket, which was supposed to be an "easy kitbash" of old Shuttle era hardware. |

But I haven’t seen a spacex rocket go up in a while, so how does he generate revenue to pay for the mars rockets? Quoting: MyPillow SpaceX has had 10 launches this year so far, they're still very much on top of the commercial launch market. They have brought the business back to the US. They also have a private investor who is investing a lot of money in exchange for a flight around the moon on board Starship. |
