Vegans are obsessed with a "plant based diet." They are singly focused on only eating plant food. As if they're waging some sort of genocide agaist the plant world. They can't just call a timeout for a bit, maybe eat some cheese or an egg. It's a 24/7 war against the plants. It's cruel. These plants are grown on plantations. The plants are all lined up in rows, sprayed with fertilizers and chemicals. Then brutally "harvested" with medieval farming machines. I say give the plants a break man. Let them grow. Have some butter. A recent spate of studies, is proving that plants have volition, show altruism and understand kinship much like many animal species. They exist on a level of consciousness that is outside of our simple three dimensional mindset. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78033161 Despite this wisdom and intelligence of the plant world. OP has a point. All that is alive has Spirit. Plants offer themselves to us, in a way. However, I couldn't do to an animal the same as to a carrot. There are nuances. Even a child understands that. Chuckle to you for creativity. That was really funny. |

[link to www.forbes.com (secure)] Plant consciousness is forcing us to confront the limitations of the human mind. [link to qz.com (secure)] Awesome thread, OP! One of my houseplants is Sanseviera Laurentii Trifascacia "snake plant" that is about three feet high above soil. One day I took a nap with my head next to it. While my human body was asleep my consciousness travelled and that plant allowed my mind to enter it and experience the physical sensations that plant experiences. At a point of view of being inside that plant, I experienced the sensations of having roots firmly extending down into the cool soil, and leaves experiencing the higher room air temperature. Because the plant has no eyes, I could not see my leaves but they were experiencing particles of sunlight contacting them. Because the plant has no heart and ears in the sense that a human has a heart, I did not experience the pounding of a heart in ears. But I did experience the feeling of sap circulating in plant, extending leaves, and choices that were being made to extend leaves in such a way that the weight of them remained as balanced as possible so that the pot the roots were in did not tip over. I received all this information and experience quickly, in seconds. Then my consciousness re-entered my human body to record the experience in my brain, and to guard my human body since a body without consciousness –– even subconsciousness –– is especially vulnerable. I'm wondering now if while my mind was inside the plant, it's consciousness was experiencing being inside my human body, or whether the plant simply allowed me in for a few seconds to share its experiences. Of course, it could have simply been a dream. But it had a more tactile experience and more multi-dimensional quality than my other dreams tend to have. |

I'm also fighting the good fight on behalf of an unpopular cause.. Insect Rights Activism. People talk about genocide. They talk about infanticide, patricide, homicide, & on & on. But nobody talks about Insecticide. These monsters even sell this wickedness in bottles. Each day, millions of insects are crushed underfoot, & nobody fights for their rights. When will the madness end? |
