A group of people can even live in their own socialist/communist community if they so chose within the capitalist system. Yes, an individual or socialist community must likely pay some property or possibly income tax but that is the cost to exercise their freedom and possible need for services (police/fire/public assistance) - because nothing is truly free. The capitalist approach of trade between individuals replaces the natural approach which is domination (strong dominating the weak). The leftist view is an attempt to dominate by mob rule and often leads to strongman dictatorship (Stalin, Mao, etc.). So by characteristics the nature of capitalism is civilized voluntary interaction, while leftism is uncivilized, forced subjugation. the problem with capitalism is that shit has a tendency to float it is a system which is oiled by theft and dishonesty, and fueled by debt. Every producer is a consumer, they get us coming and going You are talking about human nature though. Capitalism is just a system or method of interaction. It is at root a voluntary method of trade rather than forced subjugation. Capitalism must have very strict ethical/moral/legal consequences for breaches in behavior. The best approach to root out bad human behavior is using ethical boards to revoke licenses and/or participation. The real problem with capitalism is that people are at root basically bad (weak and prone to be corrupted). So there must be very strict punishment for those who sway. Singapore is a very capitalist country with the highest per capita income and they literally whip someone's ass in public for wrongdoing.
