Listen and obey. Christ said that he is the "only begotten Son of God"? People with itchy ears, only pay attention to Matthew 16:18, but ignore what prceeds it.

The rock Christ's Church is built upon, is the rock of Peter's faith. What was Peter's Faith?


Matthew 16:13-18

13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Who is Jesus Christ? If you cannot obey the simple things given, do not waste your time contemplating on the more advanced matters of Heaven.

For Christ asked who he was, Peter answered. The answered Peter gave Jesus Christ, pleased Christ so greatly, he made sure to show us how important of a belief it was, by making Peter the rock of his Church.

If you will not obey the rock of the Church, then begone from the assembly of Christ, and call yourself a Christian no more.

You have no excuse for your error, repent and sin no more.
