Guess we know who Jesus's father was! It's all coming together because Jesus was a j-w who told the j-ws that their father was the devil!

Makes perfect sense, thank you for helping me realize that I should be worshiping and quoting satan just like Jesus!

You have to go through the Son to get to the Father. The Father sent His Son

Obviously two separate individuals. They both have different names too

Father - Jehovah
Son - Jesus

Pretty simple

Also, you indicate that the verses which are contained in the New Testament epistles do not carry as much weight scripturally as those verses which contain the words of Jesus in the gospels. Do you not believe all a scripture is inspired by God?

Using Jesus’ words then, why do you think Nathaniel was so impressed when Jesus told him he saw him under the fig tree. Do you think it was Jesus ability to see from distance that made him declare Jesus the son of god and king of israel?

Also, do you appreciate that ‘greater’ means ‘in position’, merely showing the ranking within the godhead?

Do you know that ‘bar’ as son means more than just ‘son of’, if means someone is ‘in the likeness of’.

Luke 1:32 - Not "my" verse - it came from the KJV.
I believe "father David" is a poor translation.
Here's others...

[link to www.biblegateway.com (secure)]
=====================================================

"Inspired" scripture isn't "thus saith the Lord".
NOR is it the words of Jesus, what was TOLD to Jesus to say by the Father.

John 12:49-50

49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

=====================================================

"Godhead"?

Poor translation not found in most modern Bibles.
Even if Paul DID use the word, I am sure that he only used it as a way to describe the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to a bunch of pagans who were already familiar with the "concept" as it is in many prominent pagan religions.

did god forsake Jesus on the cross?

or was Jesus a liar?

Jesus was declared a god in 325.

Bishops around the world were threatened with excommunication, exile and death if they did not sign the creed.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77726703

The Holy Spirit departed from Jesus and he went down to Abraham's Bosom.

He is the Holy Spirit and is the body of God, both are and belong to Jesus. He had never without himself from the beginning when he made his body for himself. He became sin, a curse, so that we wouldn't have to. When one sins (breaks the 10 commandments) they lose the Holy Spirit if they have it. Jesus IS God and did not sin. His human body is like yours and mine. Perhaps you have gone too long without the Holy Spirit in you to think it might feel as rest for your soul as Jesus promised, but I twice went long enough with it that when I sinned and he took his Spirit from me that I felt dazed, confused, lost, hungry and thirsty but neither, tired, disoriented and sad, even crying both times. It is VERY noticeable.

Since Jesus left himself, the Holy Spirit left his body, he has to be dually conscious, his Spirit knowing all things and his body what he wills it to know. Essentially he has compartmentalized himself and if he ever brings you to understanding why you will be glad for him. Do you k ow that he has seen you sin infinite sins of all types of evil? How he stays sane I've commended him on it.

The cup of God is the wrath of God the bible explains. When Jesus asked the cup to pass from him it was like him saying, "I'm willing to fulfill my mission for which I came, to be the perfect sacrifice to cover all sin, but do I really need to experience all your wrath for THEIR sins? Nevertheless, if it is what is necessary, so be it.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

TLS's logic:

None of these titles (Isaiah 9:6) are found anywhere ELSE in scripture!

Proceeds to quote a title found nowhere else in scripture, "Son of the Highest".

Titles for the jobs: A "son" born shall be called Mighty God, Everlasting Father, ANNNNNNNNNNND.....................................................................
"son".

Son and Father are titles. A son IS a child. I'm afraid TLS has offended God to turn him over and not have mercy to break him free from deception. God said he would establish his name among the Gebtiles and they would raise glory to his mane throughout the world, Hebrews ain't doing it, JWs and Mormons and anyone else thinking ;) (not proclaiming anywhere I've been) the names Jehovah or Yahweh. But I see a whole lotta "I <3 Jesus Christ!" over the world.

Who is "our Lord" in Revelation 11:15? Who is "his Christ"? Who will own the kingdoms when that happens?

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Re: Jesus is God
Do you have the Spirit of God living in you? Do you have the Spirit of Christ living in you? How many Spirits is that?

9 But you do not live as your human nature tells you to; instead, you live as the Spirit tells you to—if, in fact, God's Spirit lives in you. Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10 But if Christ lives in you, the Spirit is life for you because you have been put right with God, even though your bodies are going to die because of sin. 11 If the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from death, lives in you, then he who raised Christ from death will also give life to your mortal bodies by the presence of his Spirit in you.

Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Who is Jesus' "MY God"? The FATHER!!!!

And

Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
"WORD of God" - Not God Himself.

JESUS IS GOD ALMIGHTY.
Quoting: Jesus is also the Father God

Jesus doesn't speak during OT times.

The Father DOES!

I highlighted some things above that you are severaly overlooking.
 Quoting: TheLordsServant

Luke 1:32 - are you saying then that David is Jesus’ father or God? Your verse says both.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74896242

Luke 1:32 - Not "my" verse - it came from the KJV.
I believe "father David" is a poor translation.
Here's others...

=====================================================

=====================================================

"Godhead"?

Poor translation not found in most modern Bibles.
Even if Paul DID use the word, I am sure that he only used it as a way to describe the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to a bunch of pagans who were already familiar with the "concept" as it is in many prominent pagan religions.
 Quoting: TheLordsServant

It is the correct translation, regardless of what your opinion on the matter is. Most of the versions in your link confirm that. It confirms a need to fully understand what the people of the time knew and meant by the term ‘father’.

On point 2, as Jesus is God, you are dancing on the head of a pin. Jesus IS the word of God. The bible IS the word of God. Every single bit. The bible is Jesus in print. You can’t take bits out, you can’t add bits in.

Point 3, even if Paul was only doing as you said, he was clearly showing that the father, son and Holy Spirit ALL make up what is God.

Re: Jesus is God
did god forsake Jesus on the cross?

or was Jesus a liar?

Quoting: Jesus is also the Father God

"Holy Spirit departed from Jesus"???
"He is the Holy Spirit and is the body of God, both are and belong to Jesus"?????

UTTER NONSENSE. 95% of what you said above is NOT scriptural.

It's ALL human conjecture created to TRY to explain your non-scriptural doctrine.

AND how CONVENIENT of you to OVERLOOK this part...

"son".
Quoting: Jesus is also the Father God

Funny how ALL of these "titles" used for Jesus Yeshua are NEVER used for Father God. You CANNOT escape the truth in scripture - no matter HOW you try to twist things to support your false doctrine.

"the Son OF God" 47 times in the NT
"Son of the most High God" Mark 5:7
"Son of the Highest" Luke 1:32
"Son of the Father" 2 John 1:3
"Son of the Living God" Matthew 16:16 & John 6:69
"the Christ" Matthew 16:16 & John 6:69

"the Messiah" Daniel 9:25
"the Lamb OF God" John 1:29
"Holy One OF God" Mark 1:24

"advocate with the Father" John 2:1
"a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec" Hebrews 5:6
"one mediator between God and men" 1 Timothy 2:5

These are titles for Jesus....NOT THE FATHER HIMSELF

Son and Father are titles. A son IS a child. I'm afraid TLS has offended God to turn him over and not have mercy to break him free from deception. God said he would establish his name among the Gebtiles and they would raise glory to his mane throughout the world, Hebrews ain't doing it, JWs and Mormons and anyone else thinking ;) (not proclaiming anywhere I've been) the names Jehovah or Yahweh. But I see a whole lotta "I <3 Jesus Christ!" over the world.
Quoting: Jesus is also the Father God

A daughter is also a child - so does that make a son and a daughter EXACTLY the same?

"I've offended God?" Like you would know? You're no prophet for sure.

You're bitching about the JW's and the Mormons yet you FAIL to acknowledge what the KJV says?

WHERE in the Bible does it say that Jehovah is Jesus' name?

It doesn't.

Yet the below verses are ALL from the "infallible" KJV.

Exodus 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

Psalm 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Here's a couple of tidbits from Isaiah.

Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Isaiah 26:4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.

Thread: ONE Gospel - FROM God - THRU Jesus - Taught by ALL of the Apostles - NOT Just Paul - Bible Study

And to prove my point further, look at the names of the places given in these verses.

Genesis 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

Exodus 17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi:

Judges 6:24 Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovah-shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

Abraham, Moses and Gideon ALL KNEW the Father's name.

Genesis 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
Genesis 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

What was it? Was it Jehavoah?

Exodus 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

I read and I see that his name IS God Almighty. That is the name he gave himself, that IS his name, it is no lie. I read and see that he gave himself another name, Jehovah. I read and discern that I cannot conclude that Jehovah is his original name used in the time of Enos. I discern that no one named God, as a parent names a child, but what name God gives to himself is his name.

Was it Jehovah on the days of Enos?

Exodus 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

I cannot conclude that it was. God Jesus k ow by what name he should tell Moses who sent him because he knows all things. Had he said any other name then they would not believe Moses, and accused him of having power of evil as a sorcerer with the miracles God gave him to show.

Re: Jesus is God
Here's a couple of epiphanies for you "Jesus is God" folks.

1. In the Old Testament, Father God calls Ezekial and Daniel "son of Man". AT NO TIME - in 4000+ years - does Father God call HIMSELF "son of man".

Yet Jesus calls Himself "Son of Man" numerous times.

So...you folks would have people believe that...

...God is the Son of Man?

NO NOPE NADA

Jesus, as the Son OF God, born in the flesh, can call Himself "Son of Man".

Father God would NEVER call Himself such a term.

--------------------------------------------------
2. In John 13, Jesus washes the Apostles feet.

Father God would NEVER do such a thing for a human. IF for some reason you can't grasp that, then I suggest you actually READ the Old Testament - beginning to end.

He'd surely provide the water - BUT...Father God is FAR TOO Holy to hand wash human feet.

Yet...the SON of God...WOULD do such a thing in a "teaching moment" - that the Father, THROUGH His Son Jesus, would wash away ALL sins for those who repent, believe and do the Father's Will.

Quoting: Jesus is also the Father God

Yet you keep arguing against the abundance of scripture that Jesus is the Son OF God - SENT by the Father.

AND..the Old Testament proclaims that someone will be "SENT".

400+ verses in the New Testament alone testify to Jesus' declaration of the Father.

WHY do you suppose that Jesus & the Apostles used the word Father over 200 times?
Or WHY did Jesus say that He was SENT 47 times?
Or WHY did the writers of the NT use the phrase "Son of God" 47 times?

I hate NO ONE - and that includes you folks that I argue with about the deity of Jesus Yeshua.

I ALSO recognize your ZEAL for Him.

The only way Father God will vindicate you is THROUGH His Son.

But ONE thing I can guarantee to you.

Is that IF you truly DO make it to heaven...I would LOVE to see the LOOK on your FACE WHEN you see Jesus seated at the FATHER'S RIGHT HAND.

OR perhaps Jesus will say..."Thank you for loving me servant...but NOW you should show some LOVE to the Father".
