My middle son, age 36, who has smoked weed for 20 years, is at this time in the midst of a psychotic breakdown, complete with severe delusions etc. During the times he has been a bit more clear-thinking, he has agreed to go to the ER. And both times they told him they will not admit him for detox until/unless he is a danger to himself or others. To my knowledge he is no longer smoking weed in any form. The delusions and withdrawals etc is not only making him crazy, it's tearing our whole family apart. It feels like we're waiting for the train wreck we know is coming any minute now. :jd_cry: |

Of course crazy people mix crazy meds with alcohol and weed and other drugs. EVERYONE is crazy! With or without weed! Has it ever occurred to anyone that maybe weed was made legal by a super natural loving kind God who doesn't want people to suffer 24/7?. With these bastards ruining every nook and cranny of our world? Huh? Yes. God doesn't want us to lose hope. Weed doesn't give hope but it makes hell a tad more bearable. |

He has a good job with insurance that would cover it. Except I don't know how long he will have that job for, he hasn't been going to work. :/ He thinks there is someone at work trying to kill him. (part of his delusional thinking). The cops won't do anything until/unless he strikes out at someone. Evidently not thinking he's being a danger to himself at this point. Ditto the ER docs at the only hospital in the area with a psych unit. No matter that I and his brothers believe him to be. And we cannot do anything else 'for' him until/unless he starts asking for help, calls the number himself for therapy/treatment. etc. Which I doubt that he will. Because he seems to be caught up in the delusions so much he's not thinking straight half the time. Too worried about whatever is in the attic about to come in and kill him. (ps.... they have no attic). :jd_cry: |

She's been an RN for over 15 years, so she is responsible and I have no reason to doubt her. So, there you go. Now, why did you attempt to insult my intelligence? Might it be because your argument is weak? Where's your evidence? Links? You make the claim that it's been debunked. You have zero idea of who I am and what I'm capable of understanding. And I seriously don’t believe anyone smokes pot and turns crazy. That’s ridiculous! I have however seen ppl smoke fake pot. K2, spike, spice it’s the same and literally turn spaz. When 30 seconds earlier they told me they were smoking good old weed. That crap needs to go for good. I think some parents or care givers get confused bc it looks the same. It’s easy to it can look the same at times. If your teen or 20 something is going crazy chances are it’s NOT pot |

Doctors warned that with hospitals already lacking resources for mental health provision, cannabis smoking was placing an enormous burden on the city’s strained psychiatric units.
