One more post - Regarding mashed potatoes. The keto diet is a good resource for recipes that have substitutes for potatoes. Cauliflower mock mashed potatoes are very good and very much like mashed potatoes. You steam the head of cauliflower and then mash it up with cream and butter. Yummy, especially if you have been without potatoes for awhile.

No further updates, BBQ Boy?

Still praying for Dakota’s healing....been checking in just had a chance to post!

When I had to limit potassium because of my kidneys, I used to cut potatoes small, bring to a full boil, strain the water, rinse and then boil again until soft.

Tuesday morning update. My wife went to back today after 3 and a half weeks off. Im home taking care of Dakota. He is eating a little better, around 4-6 ounce per meal and staying hydrated.

Still a bit unstable on his feet and using a cane to walk short distances, to the bathroom and his bedroom from the sofa where he spends most of his waking hours. He has dialysis again today. Three days a week for four hours a day.

Still haven't heard anything from the Kidney team at the hospital about a follow up appointment.

Wife and I went to our Home Owners insurance agent yesterday and reduced the coverage amount on our home, just to lower up our mortgage payment and free up some funds for his medicines.

Other than that we are just taking this one day at a time. Again we thank all of you for your prayer and support.

Reading your update, I just felt impressed to pray for a complete and total recovery for Dakota. Am going to keep him in my daily prayers.

Thank you, we just a call from the Kidney team at the Hospital they have scheduled his Biopsy for Nov 13. That means we got four more weeks of Dialysis before we get some kind of answer.

Y’all are in my prayers and my heart. I am sorry the answers are coming fast.

But y’all are so darn good parents. Thank you.

Oh, wow.... that's rough! Your co-pays and meds for your son must be unbelievable. I am sure Trinity would ok a fundraiser or a go fund me. I wish you would consider it to help take some of the pressure off.

Still getting caught up on the dietary changes and the shopping changes but this site has a wealth of information should you or someone you know go thru what we are going thru right night.

Have hard boiled eggs ready to go for quick protein, I make 6 every 4 days and leave in bowl in frig.

He is yesterday and today he ate everything I plated up for him. Mostly frozen Vegetables, Broccoli , mixed vegetable, Green beans, and a 1/4 of a chicken breast tonight.

Hes eating cereal (corn Flakes) with 1% milk ( barf) for breakfast and fruit cups and such for lunch.

add; they finally got that bandage off his neck, he can now move his head a bit more. Gotta get some alcohol to remove that residue. At this point they do not want him in the shower with that Port in.
