I was poking around a tube channel for unusual "stuff" in MO and the dude posted a video of his brother dying of CJD. (Have been seeing a lot of the beer virus stuff linked to folding prions lately...odd. Is there a plan to blame the virus for CJD?)

It's very fast from diagnosis to death. I was sincerely stunned to find the comments section full of "my (insert relation) currently has and or died from CJW...(insert details". Considering that nothing kills these prions, not even surgical instrument sterilization, each time you have surgery you are gambling with your life. There are many many more cases of this and no one is talking about it.

CJD is present in the body and transmissible for years prior to symptoms, so if someone has undetected CJD and surgery any instrument used then reused, even though properly sterilized, you have just been given CJD and you won't know it for up to 50 years later when symptoms appear, then you rapidly decline and die.

North America has enough coal for electricity for 100 years and then some. North America has enough NG to last about 500 years. Internal combustion engines can run on NG and the car can be filled up at most homes overnight. NG used in Direct Gas Injection would help mileage, it's high octane would allow going back to high compression motors or more use of ways to compress the air. The Canadian Prairies don't have to grow food crops, the hemp plants could reach 16ft almost all on it's own and shipping by rail is 'safe' so the final processing can be almost anywhere.
The bad news is there is a high start up cost (because it was illegal so long) but after that it is 'renewable' and a product in demand as an export crop as well as filling a lot of the needs of the 'locals'.
