I've never had any advers affects. There are times you actually do need meds. I take Losartin also, and it works like a charm. I had a heart attack earlier this year, and the cardiologist took me off it, and put me on three different BP meds (not all at once, though) and one beta blocker. Those pills messed me up so bad...I can't even tell you. I finally got off all of those, went back on the Losartin, and my BP is a rock steady 120-125/72-76....always. And I don't SUFFER from any adverse side effects. Wyatte, if they want to put you on a BP med - and it sounds like you need it, at least until you can get it down on your own - then think about trying Losartin. I pretty much despise pharma drugs, but I LOVE this BP med. My healing heart to yours, lovey....   You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
