You should have seen the debate last night. Justin spewing talking points over and over again, dodging the question. Almost every time he spoke he led off with "Under Stephen Harper" and more than once used the wrong talking point to answer a question.

But as bad as Justin did last night, the others did just as bad. Scheer also stuck to memorized talking points and managed to make himself look like a liberal, Singh was more coherent, but basically said he is all about inclusiveness except when it comes to white people like Max Bernier who he didn't want at the debates because of his hateful speech. Elizabeth May was like a banshee proclaiming the climate change doom and even Max fell flat. They were dogpiling him for sure, but he didn't once correct their accusations that he hates immigrants by making the distinction between illegal and legal immigrants. The take away is that none of these morons should be allowed anywhere near government, but these are the choices we have on election day.

Our country is fucked.

Did you all know that even though the number one requirement to make you eligible to vote is to be a Canadian citizen, it is against Elections Canada's mandate to ask for proof of citizenship. It happens every election. People that aren't actually citizens can get someone to "vouch" for them, show a drivers license and a piece of mail addressed to them and they will be allowed to vote. I know for a fact that the 3 biggest parties bus in non citizens to vote for them and give them money, access to legal aid, hampers and housing in exchange. I tried calling this out as a scrutineer in 2004 and almost got myself removed for it, they even threatened to bring in the RCMP if I didn't drop it.
