Numerous California Cities Warned Power May be SHUT OFF for 5 Days - Possibly Up to 7 Days - THE PURGE?

Greetings from Placer County. They shut us down this morning around 1 am.

My daughter and I are in Oroville, Butte County. We still have power while the rest of the city doesn’t. Our neighborhood is next to a PG&E sub station, Police and Fire Department . I think that’s why we may have been spared. Thank you Little Baby Jesus.

My college is closed. I’m a Horticulture teaching student and last power outage we lost almost our entire misting house plant seedlings. No one, not even professors could get in to hand water the hundreds if not thousands of plants. The established ones were fine. But the baby seedlings loss was like 80%.

Yesterday during our lab, we rescued the current and new seedlings from the mist house in preparation. All the tray babies were transferred to four inch posts, moved and watered to hopefully save them. 5 to 7 days however will be devastating.

Butte County is Pro Agriculture and Pro Trump . This isn’t a “I hate California so ha ha” thing. This is a serious and potentially life threatening situation for hundreds of thousands of good people.

So to the Anti-California broad stroke keyboard lions around here, kick rocks. Jesus loving, Pro Trump Northern California residents have some real life doom on to handle without your ill informed negativity. Praise Jesus and Long Live Trump

Greetings neighbor! I'm in Placer County, near Wheatland. Most of Lincoln is dark, as is a lot of Rocklin. For those who don't know, Placer is a red county as well.

Pray for those that need the electricity for life-saving and life-maintaining devices. This is a tragedy.

I am so grateful to still have power. This is really terrifying if you let your mind go to the dark side of potential scenarios we’re looking at lol. There are soooo many homeless tweekers in my neighborhood since we’re near the Feather River. Being in the dark with those human roaches is going to kick up the level of challenges in my nightly routine a bit lol. Fingers crossed.

As of about 7 am, there was no wind.

Sacramento is very windy.

Traffic is slow in Lincoln and Rocklin due to lights being out.

Most stores are closed, other than little mom and pop operations that can sell non-perishable goods like candy bars, chips and other snacks.

People seem to be going to work as usual. I-80 was very busy this morning, coming from the Roseville direction.

Sacramento - business as usual, although PG&E's site states that West Sacramento could lose power.

Biggest dumb fuck move ever! People burning candles, outdoor fires, faulty generator back up electrical cords just to name a few to cause large fires. Plus you have the potential arsonist that will start the fires anyways that could be pissed off at PGE. Yeah, great dumb fuck liberal move. The California clueless liberals. Yet, Silicon Valley mega rich that are oblivious to reality, the people that want government handouts that don’t to work and the illegals keep voting them in.

Our trees are cut to 15 feet from power lines, we are in a town of 10000 that has existed since the 1800s with no fire, unincorporated though, so we are on the list. Inland So Cal. Nothing to speak of wind now. I believe it is some kind of scheme, IDK what. Most fires here and in LA are homeless camps, car wrecks.

“PG&E does not want to shut off power for the reason that management bonuses are tied not to safety, but rather the lack of customer complaints,” PG said. PG said when the power is shut off to customers they complain so management is therefore hesitant to flip the power off."

Last year whole cities burnt down and the fire moved so fast that people didn't have enough warning time to escape. I'm guessing you weren't impacted by it or you probably wouldn't be complaining about going without power for 5-7 days to prevent another catastrophe. Very small price to pay in comparison. Like one vs infinity.

Santa Cruz County here, we are still on as well.

This county is the holding den of the drug addled urchins they release state wide, I'm not happy about what could come of their fragile mind states when there is no resource for them in their already dire plight, they will be even more dangerous.

I hope it doesn't last long for you there, I hope so for us too.

But the absence of power will create many other potential ignition points for fires... outdoor cooking, campfires, generators running, the lack of pressurized water to contain a small fire, etc. Add to this the bad actors that might realize that overwhelmed police might not respond quickly to a little old-fashioned arson.
