STUPID response at that too. It's been a couple weeks since Pelosi opened the Inquiry. They waited too long to make a better argument.

They are playing on the idea that most don't understand the process and they'd rather the conversation be about process rather than content.

The House doesn't need to vote to hold an Impeachment Inquiry btw. Once an article is ready to be submitted then they must vote.

Not getting cooperation from the White House is not unprecedented (adverse interest reactions). It's happened before for other Administrations and didn't work to their favor.

Impeachments aren't really legal affairs. If the House votes to impeach, then it moves to Senate. If they vote to Impeach after a Congressional trial, then the President can be removed from office. It's a political process.

They will eventually have to vote. It cannot proceed to the Senate without a vote and there is no process rule that they have to vote before they bring an article forward to be voted on. Then they all vote.

Republicans are a little late with their counter-punch here. It's weak, but its about all they have for now.

We are moving closer to a real 'constitutional crisis'.
