When I looked at the outage map earlier, it show 10+ million tracked customers in CA, now its only showing 7+ million tracked customers. However, the totals as of 2:37 pm

Customers Tracked: 7,668,209

State Outage currently shows: 526,639

I wonder if the difference in the tracked customers are the included in the current total number of customers affected?

This is what the totals showed earlier, I took a screen shot 11:17am

Tracked: 10,437,079

State Outage currently shows: 526,802

They're fucking with the numbers. Showed over 548,000 about 10 minutes ago.

Southern California Edison (near San Diego) was showing about 26,000 out a few minutes before (when the number was higher), but now they are only showing about 6,000 out. Could have been an auto accident that took out a feeder pole and since then they have been able to reroute most of the service area so only 6000 or so are out now.

Pay attention to the outages by company. That will give you a better idea as to what is going on from the Bay area and to the north.

SCE did earlier say that they also may have to cut service, they were saying maybe 110,000 or so, which would be affecting that area near San Diego but NOT the Bay area and north. That is another reason why it is worthwhile to pay attention what companies are cutting power and where.

So far no outages are showing on the map in the South Bay area, either east or south. Everything is North Bay and going north, though all appears to be good so far going up the delta along the river to Sacramento.

Southern California Edison serves Los Angeles County. SDG&E is the provider for San Diego.
