The purpose of the two witnesses is to usher in the davidic/ levitic kingdom after the age of grace has ended
The new age will be the levitic priesthood and davidic kingship which means the 2 offices have to be separate on earth. Who can fill these two positions? The two witnesses of course as one will come from the line of Judah the sceptre/kingly line and the other will come from the Joseph birthright line allowing him to be high priest ...1 chronicles 5:2...judah is the chief leader( king) but Joseph has the birthright......we know judah isn’t Jesus in this earthly scenario because joseph is higher than Judah being Joseph has the double portion birthright position and no one is higher than Jesus ....so we see these two are earthly realm separate office kingship and priesthood anointed....Jesus is heavenly realm melchelzedek order kingship/priesthood combined anointed

This is the promised lineage of David that would take the earthly throne for God's people, who will be chosen by YHWH himself and
not by an organization or by men. He is not a political figure like Barak, nor a Russian general like the Anti-Christ, nor a religious
leader of a recognized worldly religion.
For " I (the Lord) will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them and will bring them again to
their folds, and they shall be fruitful and increase. Behold the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David, a righteous
Branch (Zech 4, Jere 33) and a KING shall reign and prosper and shall execute judgment (7 plagues of destruction from the 7 trumpets
of the tribulation) and justice upon the Earth (Jeremiah 23:3-6) In his days (1260) Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely
(in the wilderness) and this is the name whereby he shall be called THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
This is because the End-time David like King David of Old will be just as unrighteous as his counterpart and therefore totally
dependant on the Lord for any kind of righteousness which is the way it is suppose to be for all of us. So because of this, it is easy to
see, why the TEACHER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS as stated in the Dead Sea Scrolls is this unrighteous David of the Latter Days who gives
the glory and honour to the King of Kings rather than taking it upon himself.
For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without an ephod, and without a sacrifice and without a
teraphim (But at the start of the Tribulation as mentioned in 2 Maccabbees 2 - the Lord will give us the Tabernacle and the Ark and
afterward shall the children of Israel return and seek the Lord their God, and David their king and shall fear the Lord and his goodness
(not our own) in the Latter Days..(Hosea 3:4,5)
