On the Russia/Patton issue, the real question is can any one single power be trusted to be the only force with nukes? The US hasn't exactly been this great trustworthy country. The US and Russia were made for each other, it's a match made in Hell. Funny that Nazi prisoners got better treatment than the blacks.  98% of German prisoners were killed by the allies and Russians, mostly sent to die in Siberia. 90%+ of allied prisoners were not killed by the Germans.
