It has to do with the ending of the Age (Pisces). The Catholic Church has been the reigning organization for the Age of Pisces, the fish; hence the pope’s mitre shaped like a fish.

But this Piscean Age is coming to a close. Power structures that have dominated the Piscean Age — the Catholic Church being the most powerful — are being dismantled in preparation for the coming new age — the Age of Aquarius.
