It could be US move to try to put Syria, Iran and Russia against Turkey, it could also be a Russian, Turkish plot to show the Kurds that USA won't back them and have them rejoin Syria in exchange for protection. The Kurds control a big chunk of Syria and they were the only excuse for the US/British/French troops to be there. Looks like the Kurds are now scared shitless and surrendered to the Syrian Army in exchange for protection.
Looks like Assad's army is already moving in kurdish controlled areas.
Now it all depends how the Turks play this one.
It could go both ways.
Either way USA has no more allies in Syria and sooner rather then later they will be kicked out. Assad's army will soon surround all the US bases in Syria.
